400ML AMBERSIL FLAW DETECTOR 1 CLEANER

Flaw Detector Cleaner is a quick-drying solvent cleaner and excess penetrant remover for non-destructive testing (NDT) of metal surfaces using the liquid penetrant inspection method. Many cracks in engineering materials can be deep despite having extremely small surface openings, potentially leading to serious or critical defects. Such flaws are often difficult to detect by normal visual inspection, but penetrant testing extends the visual method by revealing otherwise invisible surface-breaking discontinuities.

Inspection is carried out using the standard three-product system: Flaw Detector Cleaner, Flaw Detector Penetrant and Flaw Detector Developer. The cleaner is a fast-evaporating, powerful degreasing solvent blend, free from 1,1,1-trichloroethane and other chlorinated solvents. It is designed for surface pre-treatment prior to penetrant application and for the complete removal of excess, visible coloured penetrant before applying the developer.

The formulation rapidly dissolves grease, oil, lubricants, tar, adhesives and general contamination. It provides an effective wash-away action, leaving the surface clean, dry and residue-free. The product is non-staining, non-corrosive and stable, with fast evaporation to minimise inspection downtime.
