400ML AMBERSIL FLAW DETECTOR 2 PENETRANT

A red coloured, water washable dye penetrant for non-destructive testing (NDT) of metal surfaces, parts and structures. The penetrant rapidly wicks into fine surface-breaking defects, typically within 10 minutes, making even very small cracks visible that would otherwise be difficult to detect by normal visual inspection.

Many cracks in engineering materials can be deep despite having only microscopic surface openings, potentially leading to serious or critical failures. Penetrant flaw detection extends the visual inspection method by drawing dye into these defects and revealing them clearly when used with a developer.

Inspection is carried out using the standard three-product system: Flaw Detector Cleaner, Flaw Detector Penetrant and Flaw Detector Developer. Excess penetrant should be removed before applying the developer. The red dye is easily visible under natural white light and is water washable for easy cleaning.
