Bi-metal bandsaw blades consist of a high speed steel cutting edge welded to a flexible steel back.
This makes them considerably tougher than a carbon steel blade, suitable for cutting difficult materials, such as stainless steel, nickel and titanium, with longer blade life and at faster cutting speeds.
They can also be used instead of carbon steel blades to give considerably longer life.
