The PFERD KSB 15 x 30mm A60 Abrasive Spiral Band is a professional-quality cylindrical abrasive sleeve designed for general-purpose grinding, deburring and surface preparation across a wide range of materials. Manufactured using high-performance A60 aluminium oxide abrasive, it provides aggressive cutting action, excellent stock removal and long service life, even under demanding operating conditions.

Designed for use with a compatible 15mm rubber drum holder, the spiral band is securely held in position as the rubber holder expands during operation. This provides excellent stability and allows efficient grinding of edges, weld seams and difficult-to-access surfaces.

The A60 grit provides an excellent balance between effective stock removal and controlled surface preparation, making it ideal for fabrication, engineering and industrial maintenance applications.

Operating Recommendations

For optimum performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 20–30 m/s. A suitable grinding oil can be used where appropriate to improve abrasive performance and extend tool life.

To replace the abrasive band, give it a slight clockwise twist while pulling it from the rubber drum holder. The holder can remain fitted to the machine during band changes.

Storage and Safety

Always use the correct size rubber drum holder and ensure the minimum operating speed is maintained so the expanding holder securely grips the abrasive band.

Do not allow the spiral band to protrude beyond the rubber drum holder. Never exceed the maximum permitted peripheral speed of 30 m/s or the maximum rotational speed specified for the abrasive and holder.

Always wear appropriate PPE, including eye protection, gloves, hearing protection and respiratory protection where required.
